SUGGESTED
LIST OF PERSONAL SUPPLIES FOR HORSE TRIPS
(Must be packed in duffel bags or soft packs...suit
cases are not suitable)
Warm sleeping bag - Down bags not recommended as they take too long
to dry if wet
Good quality rain gear - slicker or rain suit
Suitable headwear - Cowboy hat or suitable sun hat
Boots - while cowboy boots were made for riding...light hiking boots
are more suitable
Rubber boots - for wet weather
Sneakers
Sun screen
Insect repellant
Water bottle or Canteen
Pocket knife
Bathing suit - if you are up to a refreshing plunge in a mountain lake!
Gloves - leather gloves are a real asset
Long underwear
Extra change of clothes - for both hot and cold weather
Camera & lots of film (film is cheap....opportunity isn't!)
Binoculars
Flashlight
Sun Glasses
Extra prescription glasses if you wear them
Towel and personal toiletries
TOBACCO:
If you smoke, please bring enough to last. If you want to quit, then we
recommend that you do it LONG before you arrive. Do not plan to quit during
the trip. THIS NEVER WORKS. You come to enjoy yourself, not to be miserable.
If anybody else in camp smokes you'll probably make them run out and be
miserable too.
ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGES: Many persons who do not regularly drink at home will
enjoy a hot toddy at the end of the day, or around the campfire and in
the tents in the evenings. This need not be brought from home but can
be purchased in Quesnel or Wells. |
